Galatians 6:3-5
Personal Responsibility and Freedom

3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For each one shall bear his own load.

Introduction Galatians - for your salvation, trust the Lord, not your own works. In daily life, trust the Lord. Then He will give you the guidance, love and the power you need to live a good life in this world.

Ch 6 - practical advice for living.

1. How to help someone who has fallen into sin be restored

2. How to take responsibility for your own life, attain freedom

1. The Beginning of Personal Responsibility and Freedom

Gen 1

26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Gen 2

15 Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. 19 Out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field.
